WE MADE IT!!!

A much welcomed sign!
The Security System on our new apartment!
Smith and a new friend eating Oaxacan elote. It is the BEEEST!!!
Hello again, Burger Boy!
We decided to take a trip and haul some of our stuff from Puebla down to Oaxaca. Here's some initial pics and thoughts. More to come.
Rachel's thoughts: I cannot tell you all how great a feeling it was to see one of my biggest dreams realized today. Today we drove into Oaxaca to the mission base where we will be staying for a while. It was amazing to see all the things I've only heard about. It is such a wonderful thing to finally have the chance to fulfill something you know God has told you to do. We don't know everything, but we do know He wants us here now. It's not heaven, but the amazing part to me is that when I place my heart in following the Lord of Life, I feel like this place is heaven. A lot of you may say that we are crazy. And you're probably right, but I'd rather live in a cement block in the deep of Mexico, than live in a beautiful, plush, comfortable mansion, knowing that I'm called elsewhere.

yeah!!!! you made it! I am so proud of your family for being obedient to God's call on your lives. i've been sharing your story with others. life..the God kind of life...isn't about having every material thing we've ever wanted. it's not about living the american dream with a big, nice house in a perfect little suberb with 3.2 kids and a dog. it's about giving your life away...loving God....loving people...SERVING. you CAN still have those things, they're not bad but they should not be the goal. i am starting to get that and starting to live that. thanks for a truly godly example to follow!

¡Ah chihuahua! Me gustan mucho los elotes. Cuando viví en Mexico hace mucho años, yo trabajaba como elotero. ¡Gracias por las memorias buenas!
